You can complete your ORCID ID with your HAL deposits:
- from your ORCID account: with or without a HAL account
- from your HAL account
From your ORCID record
From your ORCID record, after logging in, you just have to select HAL in the list of proposed databases (Add works/Search and link):
The system will then ask you if you allow HAL to update your data in ORCID. This authorization is requested only the first time.
NB : you can remove later the authorization in your account settings.
You are then redirected to HAL. If you are not connected to HAL
- You have a HAL account and you are non connected: you can associate your HAL account with your ORCID. This association is requested only once.
- You don’t have a HAL account, you can create one or continue the import process in ORCID.
You then get a query result page on HAL: the query is automatically performed on your first name last name (information of your ORCID account). You just have to click on the ADD TO ORCID button for each publication you want to add. The status of the button will change to ALREADY PRESENT IN ORCID.
You can of course do another search if necessary (other form of the author’s name in particular).
Send or update metadata from HAL
There are 3 ways:
- My space/Send documents to ORCID
- My space/My deposits
If you are already connected to your ORCID account, the “add to ORCID” icon is available for each of your deposits:
If the publication is already present in your ORCID, the icon is different: you can update the data if you have made changes in the deposit.
